We propose to supply and install a new 160L Vulcan Duomax, single element, electric hot water system, "Manufactured by Rheem" at the existing location. This installation will include the replacement of all specified valves, and our services will include the necessary electrical work to disconnect and reconnect the system, as well as the disposal of your old hot water system. It is important to note that current regulations have changed since the installation of your existing hot water system. When replacing an electric hot water system, it is mandatory to replace the hot and cold-water safety valves. The existing safety valves are of the same age as the malfunctioning hot water system, and failure to replace them may void the 10-year warranty on the new unit. Additionally, a duo cold water valve, which functions as a non-return valve, must be replaced. We will also install a 500 KPA pressure limiting valve on the cold-water line to safeguard the hot water system from excessive pressure and potential damage. A cold-water expansion valve will be installed on the cold-water side to alleviate excessive pressure build-up. Furthermore, a hot water relief valve will be incorporated, which activates when the stored hot water exceeds its upper limit, allowing cold water to enter and cool the system. To ensure safety, a tempering valve will be installed to regulate the temperature of the stored 70-degree hot water, delivering it at no more than 50 degrees to the household, thereby reducing the risk of scalding burns. We will submit a mandatory QBCC form online to confirm that the new hot water service complies with current regulations. The relief drain line will be directed to a sewer/stormwater point or a mini rubble pit; this quote includes the provision for discharging the relief valves to the approved point. This quote also covers electrical work to complete the disconnection and reconnection of power at the existing location. Lastly, the existing hot water system will be removed from the site and disposed of.

Job Description
As your system is located inside the property I have allowed for the additional requirements to ensure the installation meets current regulations. I have allowed to install a safe tray under the new hot water system. Also an automatic water cut out valve will be installed to the cold water supply which has a sensor placed in the safe tray. If the senson detects any moisture in the safe tray the valve will close, shutting off the water supply to avoid flooding the property.
