Tempering Valve HPS & Insulation 15mm is suitable for solar + instantaneous hot water systems. TVA 15CHP valves can also be used in all water heater applications as per TVA installation instructions.

A tempering valve works as amixing tool to ensure that the user is not harmed by scalding hot water when it comes out of the faucet. The tempering valve does this bycombining both hot and cold water to produce the correctwater temperature as it isreleased from a particular outlet. Tempering valves are mandatory for all new builds, renos and replacement hot water systems. Stored water must be at 60 degrees to prevent legionella breeding. The tempering valve is required to reduce this temperature to a maximum of 50 degrees.
